Strengthening Our Lifting Equipment Offering

Strengthening Our Lifting Equipment Offering

The Launch of Our Lifting Sling Range

Earlier this year, Taut Strap introduced a new range of lifting slings, including flat webbing (duplex) slings and round slings manufactured from high-tenacity polyester yarn.

Each sling is produced in accordance with recognised European lifting standards and clearly labelled with:

  • Working Load Limit (WLL)

  • Effective Working Length (EWL)

  • Material specification

  • Safety factor

Flat webbing slings are designed to distribute load weight evenly and are particularly suited to applications where load surface protection is required. Round slings, constructed with a continuous load-bearing core encased within a protective woven sleeve, offer flexibility and a high strength-to-weight ratio for varied lifting configurations.

Now Introducing the Heavy-Duty Ratchet Strap Winder

Following the sling launch, Taut Strap now adds a heavy-duty ratchet strap winder to the 2026 range.

Ratchet straps, commonly manufactured from 50mm polyester webbing for heavy-duty transport applications, are deployed and stowed repeatedly throughout the working day. When loosely stored, webbing can twist, knot, drag on surfaces, and suffer premature abrasion.

The Taut Strap ratchet strap winder provides a controlled method of rolling webbing under consistent tension, producing a tight and uniform coil. This supports:

  • Faster pack-down between loads

  • Improved strap organisation on the vehicle

  • Reduced tangling and twisting

  • Less contamination and abrasion of webbing fibres

Manufactured from durable steel and finished with a black powder coating for corrosion resistance, the unit is designed for repeated commercial handling. A quick-release attachment system allows temporary fitting to a trailer side rave, enabling straightforward installation and removal when required.

While the winder does not alter the load rating, lashing capacity (LC), or compliance classification of the strap itself, it promotes improved strap handling practices and contributes to longer service life.

With the introduction of certified lifting slings and now the addition of the ratchet strap winder, Taut Strap continues to expand its product offering with equipment focused on functionality and durability.

The direction is clear:

  • Certified lifting solutions

  • Robust load restraint accessories

  • Improved operational efficiency

  • Technically accurate product design

As 2026 progresses, Taut Strap remains committed to supplying equipment that supports safe lifting, secure load restraint, and efficient day-to-day transport operations.
