Our Story
Taut-Strap is a leading manufacturer and distributor of ratchet straps, load restraint straps, side-curtain (curtainsider) straps and associated parts for the transport industry. Established in 2022 as a trading name of European Commercial Vehicle Accessories (ECVA) Ltd, Taut Strap serves businesses and individuals across the UK and Ireland.
ECVA itself began back in 2009, originally with a team of just three. From the get go, we set out to establish ourselves as the industry leader, originally focusing on the UK market before setting our sights further afield. Over the years, we grew and expanded significantly, employing over 20 more people and building a 500-strong (and counting) customer base in over 25 countries.
Our position in the market is now well established, thanks in large part to the experience of our team, many of whom have been involved in the commercial vehicle market for over two decades.

What We Do
We are first and foremost a manufacturer and believe in providing our customers with products that surpass industry standards. Located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, we run a modern production facility with both warehousing and offices, producing a wide range of products:

Our high-tech manufacturing facility allows us to work with you to develop and manufacture bespoke straps, too. Need a colour, length, width or fitting combination you can’t find on our site? All you have to do is get in touch - we can probably make it for you!
We offer free shipping on all orders over £200 in value and are able to supply most standard straps from stock, resulting in rapid delivery no matter where in the UK or Ireland you’re based.

Made & Tested in the UK
All of our products are manufactured and tested in-house by our experienced team, right here in the UK. Because we oversee the production process from start to finish, you can expect high-quality, long-lasting products time after time.
We engineer all of our products to surpass the required British and European standards and have invested in top-tier manufacturing equivalents to complement this approach. Our sewing department, for example, has some of the most advanced industrial pattern sewing machines available. They produce thousands of straps every month, and each one is as durable as the last.
How do we know this? We test all of our products in-house too, pushing them to their limits to make sure that they meet or exceed British and European standards for safety and quality.
