Taut-Strap has announced the launch of its new range of flat (duplex) and round lifting slings, expanding its professional lifting and load handling portfolio.

Designed for safe and efficient lifting operations across construction, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics environments, the new range provides flexible, compliant solutions for a wide variety of load types and lifting configurations.

Flat (Duplex) and Round Sling Options

The range includes flat webbing slings (also known as duplex slings) and round lifting slings, both manufactured from high-strength polyester.

Flat (duplex) slings are constructed from woven polyester webbing. Their flat design increases contact with the load, helping to distribute weight evenly and reduce the risk of damage to both the load and the sling. They are particularly suited to lifting machinery, steel sections, fabricated components, pallets and bundled loads.

Round slings are manufactured from high-strength polyester yarn enclosed within a protective sleeve. Designed to mould around heavy, irregular or awkward loads, they offer enhanced flexibility and controlled load distribution while helping to reduce stress points during lifting.

Both sling types are lightweight, easy to handle and suitable for straight, choke and basket hitch configurations when used correctly.

Safety and Compliance

All lifting slings in the range:

• Are manufactured from high-strength polyester

• Are clearly labelled with Working Load Limits (WLL), length and safety information

• Are colour coded by WLL for quick on-site identification (Purple 1T, Green 2T, Yellow 3T)

• Conform to recognised lifting standards

• Are suitable for overhead lifting when used correctly

Regular inspection and correct sling selection remain essential to maintaining safe lifting operations.
