What does ‘minimum breaking strength’ mean?
This figure essentially refers to the maximum ‘safe’ strength of a strap. If any additional load is placed on the strap beyond the minimum breaking strength, it could potentially fail - so this figure should not be exceeded under any circumstances.
How do I attach a recovery ratchet strap?
Pass the ratchet strap webbing through a loop on the wheel choker. Wrap the webbing around the back of the wheel and pass it through the other loop on the wheel choker. What size recovery strap do I need?
We advise that the breaking strength should be approximately 3 times the weight of the vehicle you are pulling.
