Last updated: September 2026

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by European Commercial Vehicle Accessories Ltd, trading as Taut-Strap. Throughout the website, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to European Commercial Vehicle Accessories Ltd, trading as Taut-Strap.

We operate this website and provide the information, products and services available through it. These Terms and Conditions apply when you visit our website, contact us through it or purchase products from us.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website or placing an order. By using the website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to any policies referred to within them.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any rights you have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

A “consumer” means an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A “business customer” means anyone purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform through which we sell our products.

SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order through this website.

You must not use our website, products or services for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose or in any way that violates applicable law.

You must not introduce viruses, malicious code or any other material that could damage or interfere with the website, its users or its operation.

A breach of these Terms and Conditions may result in your access to the website being suspended or terminated.

SECTION 2 – GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse access to the website or decline an order where we have a lawful reason to do so. This may include suspected fraud, payment problems, product unavailability, delivery restrictions or misuse of the website.

We may restrict or withdraw access to parts of the website temporarily for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any part of the website or service without our written permission, except where permitted by law.

Section headings are included for convenience and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

SECTION 3 – ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION

We take reasonable care to ensure that information on the website is accurate and current. However, information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.

General information provided on the website should not be treated as professional or technical advice for a particular application. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your intended use, please contact us before ordering.

Nothing in this section excludes our responsibility to provide products that comply with the description given, or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

SECTION 4 – CHANGES TO THE WEBSITE, SERVICES AND PRICES

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website, products or services from time to time.

Product prices may change without prior notice. Changes will not affect an order that we have already accepted unless you agree to the change or the original price was an obvious error.

The total price, including any applicable VAT and delivery charges, will be shown before you place your order.

SECTION 5 – PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Some products may be available exclusively through the website and may be subject to availability.

We make reasonable efforts to display product colours, images and dimensions accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on your device, and minor variations may occur within normal manufacturing tolerances.

Product descriptions, specifications and prices may be updated from time to time. Any changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted unless agreed with you.

We may limit the quantity of a product available to an individual customer, delivery address or geographical area where reasonably necessary.

Products supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any particular purpose made known to us where applicable. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits these statutory rights.

Returns and exchanges are subject to our Returns and Refunds Policy and applicable law:

SECTION 6 – ORDERS, BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

An automatic order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract is formed when we send an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or when we begin manufacturing a made-to-order product specifically for your order, whichever occurs first.

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance because of product unavailability, payment problems, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions, an obvious pricing or description error or another reasonable commercial or legal reason.

If we decline or cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products.

You agree to provide accurate and complete billing, delivery and contact information. Please notify us promptly if any information changes.

We may contact you using the email address or telephone number supplied with your order if we need to clarify, amend or cancel any part of it.

CONSUMER CANCELLATION AND RETURNS

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days after the day on which you, or someone nominated by you, receives the goods.

You must inform us clearly that you wish to cancel. You can do this by emailing sales@taut-strap.co.uk or by using the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms and Conditions.

After notifying us, you must normally return the goods within 14 days. Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning them.

You must take reasonable care of the goods. We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Where the cancellation right applies, we will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Additional amounts paid for express or enhanced delivery are not normally refundable.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method and within the times required by law.

The right to cancel does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you. A product is not automatically excluded from cancellation rights merely because it was manufactured after the order was placed.

Your cancellation rights are separate from your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Business customers do not have the statutory consumer cancellation right. Business returns are subject to our Returns and Refunds Policy and any separately agreed terms.

SECTION 7 – OPTIONAL THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

We may provide access to tools or services operated by third parties.

We do not control these third-party services and cannot guarantee that they will always be available, accurate or suitable for your requirements.

Your use of a third-party tool may also be subject to the provider’s own terms and privacy policy. You should review those terms before using the service.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

SECTION 8 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or accuracy of third-party websites. A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse the third party or its products or services.

You should review the third party’s terms and privacy practices before entering into a transaction or providing personal information.

SECTION 9 – COMMENTS, FEEDBACK AND OTHER SUBMISSIONS

If you provide feedback, reviews, suggestions, photographs or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights or contain unlawful, misleading, abusive or malicious material.

Unless otherwise agreed, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and publish material you submit for the purposes for which it was provided, including promoting or improving our products and services.

We may remove material that we reasonably believe is unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringes another person’s rights.

We will handle personal information included in submissions in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 10 – PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy:

https://www.taut-strap.co.uk/pages/privacy-policy

Information about our use of cookies is available in our Cookies Policy:

https://www.taut-strap.co.uk/pages/cookies-policy

SECTION 11 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS

Information on the website may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, specifications, pricing, promotions, delivery charges, transit times or availability.

We may correct an error or update information at any time.

If we identify a material error after you place an order but before we accept it, we may decline the order and refund any payment taken.

If we identify a material error after accepting an order, we will contact you. We will not make a material change to the order or charge you an additional amount without your agreement. If you do not agree to the proposed change, you may cancel the affected part of the order and receive a refund.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.

SECTION 12 – PROHIBITED USES

You must not use the website or its content:

For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

To infringe our intellectual property rights or those of another person.
To harass, abuse, threaten, defame or discriminate against another person.
To submit false or misleading information.
To upload or transmit viruses, malware or other harmful code.
To collect or track another person’s personal information unlawfully.
To send spam, phishing messages or other unsolicited communications.
To scrape, crawl or access the website using automated systems where this places an unreasonable burden on the website or breaches applicable law.
To interfere with or circumvent the website’s security features.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these restrictions have been breached.

SECTION 13 – DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, secure or free from errors. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products under applicable law, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts a consumer’s statutory rights, including the right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.

We supply products to consumers for private use only. If you use products for commercial or business purposes, we are not responsible under the consumer contract for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

If you are a business customer, we will not be liable, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or goodwill arising from use of the website or purchase of a product.

Nothing in this section affects any liability expressly agreed separately in writing.

SECTION 14 – INDEMNIFICATION

If you are a business customer, you agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, costs or claims caused by your unlawful use of the website, your infringement of another person’s rights or a material breach of these Terms and Conditions.

This section does not apply to consumers.

SECTION 15 – SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

If it cannot be modified, it will be removed. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

SECTION 16 – TERMINATION

You may stop using the website at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms and Conditions or use the website unlawfully.

Termination of website access does not affect any order already accepted, any rights or obligations that arose before termination, or any statutory rights.

SECTION 17 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms and Conditions, together with the policies and order information referred to within them, form the agreement between you and us concerning use of the website and online purchases.

If you are a business customer, these Terms and Conditions supersede previous discussions or communications about the same subject, unless separate written terms have been agreed.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or prevents a consumer from relying on information that the law treats as part of the contract.

SECTION 18 – GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions and any contract between you and us are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or another country, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts permitted under applicable law.

If you are a business customer, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless we agree otherwise in writing.

SECTION 19 – CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our website, business practices or legal obligations.

Changes will apply to future use of the website and future orders. The terms applying to an accepted order will be those in effect when the order was accepted, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

The latest version will be published on this page with the date it was updated.
